Ann K. Zippie

Ann K. (Kraynak) Zippie, age 96, of Hermitage, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at her residence, with her loving family by her side.
Born September 30, 1927, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Anna (Hritz) Kraynak.
She married Edward G. Zippie on June 28, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2017.
Ann was a 1946 graduate of Sharon High School and worked for Westinghouse Corporation in the MI department.
She was an active, fifty-year member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Hermitage Woman's Club. Spending time outside and working in her flower garden were her hobbies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a significant part of their lives and supported them in all their activities and life events.
Ann is survived by daughter Carol A. (Dennis) Glunt, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, three sons, Gary E. (Katy) Zippie, and Daniel J. (Kim) Zippie both of Hermitage, PA, and David A. (Judy) Zippie, of Aurora, CO, a brother George (Penny) Kraynak, of Hermitage, PA, eight grandchildren Ryan, Megan, David, and Sean (Yuliana) Zippie, Kayla Semroc (Rob Jones), Ashley (Navid) Dehghani, Nicole Glunt, and Karly (Mike) Olenik, three great-grandchildren, Diana, Michael, and Luke Olenik, and nephews Matthew (Jennifer) Kraynak, Justin (Michelle) Kraynak, and Ed Habetler and niece, Gail (Porter) Scott and their children.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Kraynak Jr, and an infant sister, Helen Kraynak.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 263 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor Rick Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Church Youth Ministry.
