Andrew Samuel Lavelle of West Middlesex, PA formerly of Scranton, PA passed away at his residence on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. He was 61.
Andrew was born in Scranton, PA on May 12, 1955, the son of the late William and Nancy (Gordon) Lavelle. He graduated from Scranton High School and went on to earn a civil engineering degree and an architectual engineering degree from Penn State University.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Captain with the 2nd 75th Division Ranger Battalion and the 82nd Airborne Regiment.
Andrew had worked as owner and operator along with his wife, of a coffee store and vending business in the Philadelphia area, before moving to the West Middlesex .
He is survived by his wife, Gabrielle Kelly, two daughters, Natalie Lavelle and Jennifer Kelly, and his sons,Thomas Lavelle, Matthew Lavelle, Alexander Lavelle and Michael Lacey along with his two granddaughters,Lucy Ehlenbeck and Hope Myers. Also surviving are 6 sisters and 3 brothers.

At his request , there will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, 264 East State St, Sharon, PA 16146, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9th, with Rev. Randy Crum of Wayside Emanuel Church, New Castle, PA officiating.
