Andrew Hurayt, of Monroeville, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh and Farrell, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at 5:15 p.m., in Woodhaven Care Center, Monroeville, PA, from injuries sustained in an auto accident this past February.
Andrew was born in Sharon, PA on August 30, 1929, the son of the late John and Anna (Bruzik) Hurayt.
He was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School.
Andrew made his home in Pittsburgh for the past 50 years. He had worked as a lens grinder and eyeglass fitter in that area for many years.
He was the widower of Phyllis E. Hurayt who died on Nov. 5, 1987. His survivors include his sister, Ann Usko, Hartford, OH, and his brothers, Edward Hurayt of Hartford, OH and Gerald Hurayt of Austintown, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Daniel Hurayt. He will be missed by all who knew him.
