Amedeo "DiDi" DiNardo, Sharon, Pa passed away on Sat., Sept. 13, 2014 at 1:15 a.m. in Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. He was 93..
Amedeo was born in Numine, PA on April 5, 1921, the son of the late Domenico and Marietta (Buccicone) DiNardo. was a graduate Sharon High School. Amedeo served in the U.S. Navy as a MOMM1C V-6 during WW II. He was a long time member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Sharon.
He had worked as machinist and tool and dye maker at at the former Westinghouse Plant in Sharon., for several years retiring in 1982. Being an avid tennis player, he was nationally ranked in both singles and doubles. He also enjoyed playing singles and doubles.
Amedeo is survived by his sister, Madeline Callahan of Sharon, PA., his nieces, Patti Callahan Misko and her husband, Thomas, of Hermitage, PA, and Dorothy Greene and her husband, Ronald, of Greenville, PA, his nephews, William Clary and his wife Carol, of Hermitage, PA, Donald Callahan, of Xalapa,, Veracruiz, Mexico, Ronald DiNardo and his wife, Martha, of New Castle, PA, David DiNardo and his wife, Geri, of West Middlesex, PA, Richard DiNardo and his wife, Francine, of Mercer, PA, and Gary DiNardo, of Franklin, PA. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Veronica Clary, and his brothers, Theodore, Raymond, Romelo DiNardo.
