Alice Dignan

Mrs. Alice Dignan, 79, of 715 Harbor Street, NewCastle, PA formerly of Sharon, PA died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 9:52 a.m.in Silver Oaks Nursing Home in New Castle, PA after an extended illness.

Alice was born in Ivydale, WV, on November 6, 1932, the daughter of the late Elijah and Lizzie (Keenar) May.She was a homemaker for most of her life. Alice was of the Christian faith.

She was the widow of James H. Dignan. who died August 26, 1985. Several nieces and nephews survive. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceeded in death by two sisters, Alva Nicholas and Callie Starcher and two brothers, Donald and Earl May.

Funeral service at Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home, at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th, with Rev. Christopher Mathewson, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery Hermitage, PA.
