Alice Jean "A.J." Wolanski

Alice Jean " A.J." Wolanski, age 103, formerly of Sharon, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at The Seasons of Saxonburg, Saxonburg, PA.

Alice was born on October, 21, 1921, in Tarentum, PA, the daughter of the late Chester and Margaret (Cunningham) Hazlett. She married Max Wolanski, on June 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1998.

A 1939 graduate of, Ford City High School, Alice worked as a clerk at the Youngstown Airbase until her retirement in 1985. Prior to that she was employed at the Sharon Draft Military Board #103 for 16 Years. She was a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Alice is survived by two nieces, Karen (Ed) Pompanio, of Canfield, Ohio, and Noreen Wolansky and Husband David Kirkpatrick, of Plattsburg, NY, cousins, Kris (Jeff) Ekas,( whom she always referred too as her daughter) and Iris Henry, both of Natrona Heights, PA, and several other nieces and nephews. She also adored her dogs and cats over the years.

There will be no visitation or services, a private burial will take place in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
