Albert E. Marinko, of Hermitage, PA, passed away at 11:29 a.m. on June 15, 2016, in Sharon Regional Health System after an extended illness. He was 91.
Albert was born in Sharon, PA on March 28, 1925, the son of the late John and Mary (Marenchin) Marinko. He served in the U.S. Army in the 671st Tank Battalion during WWII and was an expert marksman.
Albert was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hermitage
He had worked as a car inspector at Erie Lackawanna Railroad for 31 years retiring in 1973. .He had also worked at the former John A. Palisin Funeral Home in Hermitage for several years.
Albert was a kind, generous and honorable man who valued people and appreciated the joys of everyday life. He enjoyed a variety of interests and activities and sought to learn something new each day.
He was the widower of Helen (Drobney) Marinko, whom he married on June 11, 1950. She died on Oct. 20, 1983. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Susan Marinko and his son, Terrance Albert Marinko, both of Hermitage, PA, and a brother, Michael Marinko and his wife, Barbara, of Howland twp., OH. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marian Sereday and Emma Murchek, and three brothers, Andrew, who died in WWII, and John and George Marinko.

At his request there will be no calling hours. A graveside committal service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Hermitage. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016, with Rev.
