Albert (Cub) Hines

Albert D (Cub) Hines, age 80 of Clark, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7, 2019 at Sharon Regional Hospital. Born November 21, 1938 in Greenville PA, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Eva McKinley Hines. He married the former Peggy Loesel on September 26, 1959 who survives at home.
Al was a graduate of Farrell High School and worked for 33 years in Plant Protection at Sharon Steel before retiring in 1992.
Al loved restoring antique cars. He restored many AACA (
Antique Automobile Club of America ) national level award cars, including his beloved 1953 Cadillac. He was a member of the AACA Shenango Valley Chapter. He liked to travel but his pride and joy were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Al was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sharon where he was very active and involved in many church functions.
In addition to his wife, Al is survived by three sons: Kirk (Patti) Hines of Mercer, and their children Corri and Jenni of Lewisburg, PA, and Maggi of Mercer.  Kent (Linda) Hines of Hermitage, and their children Katie (Chad) Folsom and their sons Luke and Grayson (
twins ) and Wes of Hermitage, Ashley (Dan) Tonini of Sharpsville, and Chris of Hermitage.  Scot Hines of Pittsburgh, and his family Christy (Gary) Booth and their Children, Garrett, Lilly and Annabell all of Pittsburgh.


He was preceded in death by a brother Donald Hines and a sister Colleen Burns.


Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church of Sharon. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the church with the Rev. Doug Dyson officiating. Burial will be at America's Cemetery Hermitage.
Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Sharon, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, PA 16146.
