Alan Samuel Fye

Alan Samuel Fye, age 89, of Sharpsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in UPMC Shenango Valley Hospital, Farrell, Pa.

Sam was born October 24, 1936 in Sharpsville, PA, the son of the late Samuel and Irene (Frye) Fye.

He was a 1954 graduate of Sharpsville High School and served his country honorably in the US Army.

He spent most of his employment career working for Shenango Furnace in Sharpsville, first working in the lab and then as a security guard. He also worked for Penn DOT, doing maintenance.

Sam liked horses and going to horse pulls, he also was a history buff and enjoyed going on house tours. He was a horticulturist by heart who had a love for flowers. He attended St. Bartholomew Church in Sharpsville.

Surviving are seven nephews, four great nephews and two great nieces, and he was everybody's Uncle Sam.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Ellison, Alice Darlington and Patricia O'Brien one niece Christine Scott and a nephew Paul Darlington.

There are is no visitation scheduled at this time, a graveside service will be held at a later date.
