Mr. William F. "Bill" Cholka, age 97, of Callawassie Island, SC, formerly of Romar Drive, Hermitage, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012 at NHC Health Care of Bluffton,SC after an extended illness. Mr. Cholka was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 16, 1915, the son of the late William J. and Anna M. (Seibel) Cholka. He was a 1934 graduate of Edgewood (PA) High School. While living in the area, he was a member Sharon Christian Alliance Church in Sharon. He had worked as a clerk in the clerical engineering department of at the former Westinghouse Plant Sharon., for 36 years. He was the widower of Eleanor J. (Lunn) Cholka. whom he married on July 12, 1947. She died February 12, 1997. His survivors include his daughter, Lesley A. and her husband, Steven M. Fells with whom he lived with for the last 13 years, of Callawassie Island, SC., a sister, Dorothy Fitzgerald of Pittsburgh, PA and a sister-in-law, Doris L. Smith, of Warren, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his wife and his parents, he was preceeded in death by his two brothers, Joseph F. and Paul G. Cholka.
